About

Dejan is an ecologist, forester and conservationist. His research aims to improve understanding of ecological processes that govern forest ecosystem dynamics, find ways to translate this knowledge into forest and landscape management practices in real-world social-ecological contexts and enable humankind’s sustainable sharing of the planet with the rest of the living world. He does so by combining empirical field work, with experiments, and modelling.
