Katerina Pihera-Ridge, Ngati Rangiwewehi, Ngati Whakaue, Uenukukopako, Nga Puhi and Czech Republic. Born and raised in Rotorua, Katerina is connected to her Iwi, culture and community. Katerina is a Kaupapa Maori/Social Anthropologist, in indigenous, policy, creative and holistic approach to connecting to Te Taiao - drawing from the past to look forward to the future. Katerina seeks to contribute to increased voice and participation of indigenous over their taonga and how science and innovation can interface with traditional knowledge for local, national and global meaningful impact.
