Celebrating our staff

There’s lots to celebrate here at Scion. In September we held the annual Employee Recognition Awards to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our staff. Plus, three staff member are celebrating prestigious appointments at the New Zealand Institute of Forestry, recognised for the eminence in their profession. Plus, two Scion staff were honoured by Fire and Emergency NZ for more than a decade of service each.

Sharing our research

Scion spoke to Parliament’s Economic Development, Science and Innovation Committee to highlight how Scion is creating impact for Aotearoa. Plus, we hosted more than 300 delegates from nearly 30 countries at the ForestSAT 2024 conference sharing our science, and hearing from global remote sensing experts about theirs.
