IP opportunities
Scion has strong intellectual property and confidentiality policies and legal arrangements to safeguard both Scion’s and Scion’s clients’ intellectual property and confidential information.
Intellectual property considerations, including patent landscape, freedom-to-operate and a degree of competitive intelligence, are addressed in research programmes from very early stages.
Our contracting system ensures intellectual property and confidentiality matters are agreed on prior to starting any research, collaboration or the provision (or receipt) of services.
Scion has an internal registered patent attorney/IP lawyer available to support projects by managing patents, trademarks, invention disclosures, conflicts and licensing agreements. Our IP lawyer meets with project teams periodically to review technical developments and advise on research directions that best ensure intellectual property protection.
